JOB OVERVIEW
Join Elevate Credit, a pioneering microfinance institution, as our Finance Analyst. We seek an experienced
individual with a rich background in both microfinance and traditional banking. Proficiency in accounting
systems and a thorough understanding of Kenyan Revenue Authority (KRA) guidelines are essential. Your role
will be critical in ensuring compliance and fostering financial growth and stability within our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Planning and Analysis
• Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in line with our
organizational goals.
• Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
Accounting Systems Management
• Implement and manage efficient accounting systems tailored to our needs, ensuring accurate and timely
financial data recording.
• Streamline and optimize accounting processes to enhance efficiency.
Microfinance and Banking Expertise
• Leverage your extensive experience in microfinance and banking to provide valuable financial insights.
• Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions to facilitate smooth transactions

KRA Compliance
• Stay abreast of KRA guidelines and ensure strict compliance in all financial operations.
• Work closely with the finance team to prepare and submit accurate and timely tax filings.
Risk Management
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through the implementation of effective risk management
strategies.
• Monitor market trends, regulatory changes, and economic factors impacting the microfinance industry.
Financial Reporting
• Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with KRA guidelines in financial reporting and documentation.
Compliance and Auditing
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards, including those set by KRA.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.

Qualifications
➢ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, CPA, or
equivalent) is a plus.
➢ Minimum 5 years of proven experience in financial management, with a focus on microfinance and
banking.
➢ In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, microfinance industry practices, and KRA guidelines.
➢ Experience in implementing and managing accounting systems.
➢ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
➢ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
➢ Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
➢ Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
